ANNOUNCEMENTS

THE SERVICE OF “THE STORY BEHIND THE HYMN” will be on Sunday August 13th. If you are interested in taking part and/or want to help please speak to John Brewster or Sherman Switzer.

All are welcome. BECAUSE THE OFFICE IS CLOSED ON MONDAYS DURING THE SUMMER THE NEXT PRAYER GROUP WILL MEET ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH AT 12:30 PM.

CHURCH OFFICE will be closed on Monday, July 3rd.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS – begin July 4th. The office will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM during the months of July and August.

A BIG THANK YOU – from your Session to all those who helped, brought food and attended the Columbafest picnic. A good time was had by all.

CALLING CARDS – can be used when you are visiting a member of the congregation. These cards are available in the office. Pick up a supply at any time.

YOU ARE INVITED TO CELEBRATE CANADA 150 – at Holy Rosary, 169 N Park St., Belleville to pray for our Country, its leaders and citizens Wednesday, July 5 at 1:50pm. If you wish to participate phone 613-968-6829. Light refreshments to follow. All are welcome.

RECEIVED letter from the “Canadian Bible Society” thanking you, the congregation, for the donation of used stamps. This letter is posted in Narthex for your perusal. Mrs. Beatrice C is our volunteer who makes sure the Canadian Bible Society receives the stamps.

BAKE SALE – added to Yard Sale Event, June 10th– Sponsored by Columbakids. Come out and see what our kids and congregation can bake. Bake Sale begins when the Yard Sale begins. Anyone who is able to help and/or donate baked goods, please speak to Katie C as soon as possible. All donations are welcome!

CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS – The Campbell Soup Company is no long doing the gift promotions to schools. These labels helped the school to purchase two steel bats and smaller items for their music program before the end of December 2016. The Christian High School thanks our congregation very much for collecting the labels for them

MANY THANKS – to all those who volunteered their help with the “Come to Lunch” function on May 16th. The event was a great success with approximately 20 people present. There was much laughter and chatter. It was decided by Session that these funds will be put towards the Loan Repayment
