Mistletoe Market Work Bees…

will meet on Monday May 4th, from 10:00am-2:00pm at the home of Maureen C (contact office for contact info/address). Come for a little while, or bring a lunch and stay for the whole time. Many hands make light work, so we look forward to working together!

Blessing Bowl

If you have a special prayer in your heart and would like to have it offered to God during the Prayers of the People, there is a Box in the Narthex where written prayers can be put and the Worship Elder will place them in the Blessing Bowl before the service.

April Men’s Breakfast

Men’s Breakfast will take place on Saturday April 25th at 8:30 AM. Guest Speaker is The Rev. Stephen Brown. Come and join in this great time of fellowship. This will be the last breakfast until next fall. Thank you, Gentlemen, for making this year’s fellowship a great success.

Garden of Eatin’

Spring is here and it is time to plant this year’s gardens! Are you interested in having a garden plot at the church? You may choose to plant a box on your own, or you may wish to share it with someone. Perhaps you would like to grow some fresh vegetables to enjoy with your own meals, and/or donate some of what you harvest with those who are in need of healthy food. If you wish to plant a garden box this year, please contact Steve van de Hoef by May 2nd by email (steve.vandehoef@gmail.com) The goal is to have boxes ready for planting on the long weekend in May.

Perhaps you’d like to help with the community boxes or in the preparation of boxes for planting. Steve would love to hear from you! Watch the bulletin for more information about this year’s Garden of Eatin’ and how it can make a difference in our community!

A Listening Time

Saturday May 2, 2-4 p.m.

This year’s General Assembly will receive several overtures from presbyteries asking it to consider exploring full inclusion of individuals who are homosexual, including ordination to the Ministry. Come and hear two different perspectives from within the Christian faith and our Church – presenters will be The Rev. Dr. Kevin Livingston of Tyndale University College and Seminary Toronto and The Rev. Hugh Donnelly of Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church Toronto. The Session of St. Andrew’s Kingston have organized this as a time not of debate but of respectful listening – join us in St. Andrew’s Hall, entered off Clergy Street (by the cannon!)

Food Allergy – Gluten

St Columba is pleased to provide gluten free options to those with an allergy to gluten during communion, and during social gatherings (such as during fellowship and refreshment after service, and other events). These alternatives are prepared and kept separate to avoid contamination. In addition, these plates are also labeled as gluten free for your peace of mind.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found items are in the Narthex. (Coat rack area). Please take a moment to see if any of these items belong to you because if they are not claimed by April 6th, they will be sent to a Charitable Organization.
