NEW YEAR PRAYER: THANK YOU LORD FOR GIVING ME THE BRAND NEW YEAR AHEAD. HELP ME LIVE THE WAY I SHOULD AS EACH NEW DAY I TREAD. GIVE ME GENTLE WISDOM THAT I MIGHT HELP A FRIEND. GIVE ME STRENGTH AND COURAGE SO A SHOULDER I MIGHT LEND. THE YEAR AHEAD IS EMPTY. HELP ME FILL IT WITH GOOD THINGS. EACH NEW DAY FILLED WITH JOY AND HAPPINESS IT BRINGS. AMEN.
TO THE COOKIE CAPER TEAM – Many thanks for the gift of cookies delivered to my door by the friendly volunteers from St. Columba. The treats were delicious and very much appreciated. – Mary J
TO ALL KOOKIE KAPER WORKERS: I opened Gwen’s box while in the large Social Room of McQuigge Lodge. Immediately Gwen said, “For Me?” and chose two cookies. There were 10 other residents in the room rarely receiving visits or even Christmas gifts. “Shall we offer the rest of these cookies to your friends?” Gwen nodded ‘yes’, and saying ”From my church family.” Each chose two without coaxing. “Homemade?” the ladies asked. It was then I realized they considered these to be special delicacies as each said, “Thank you very much.” THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW. – Dr. Bob B
