HELP FILL A BOX! The Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes have returned. We need your help this year! Join the ColumbaKids at the back of the Narthex on October 1st to put together your box and take it home. There will be examples of what can go in a box, information and brochures that every family can take home. National drop off week is the middle of November so please return the Shoeboxes by November 12th.

THE MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY will kick off a new season of Study by joining in a potluck supper at Mitchell’s Farmhouse on Monday Oct 2 /17 from 4-8 pm. Come join us for a ham supper and time of fellowship and sharing. Please bring either a salad or dessert.
We will begin studies on Monday October 16 at 7:30 in the Activity Room at St. Columba. We will begin with John Ortberg’s “Who is this Man”. Jesus is history’s most familiar figure. His impact on the world is immense and non-accidental. From the Dark Ages to post- modernity he is the man who won’t go away. And yet……
Come join with us as we explore just who Jesus is.

FREE SENIORS EXERCISE PROGRAM through the VON takes place here every Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 2:30-3:30 PM. If you have questions or concerns please speak to Phyllis M.

WE ARE MAKING A COLLECTION OF SMALL ITEMS TO HELP NANCY B’S DAUGHTER, JANET, START OVER after losing everything to a fire at the end of July. Janet now has a new place to live and is moving in on the 15th. A list is posted on the window of the Jack Burke room and a blue box is provided to put the items in. If you can help with any of these items, please add to the boxes. They will be delivered next Sunday.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW: The refrigerator in the Kitchen that the church has had for years has refused to work properly. Therefore, needless to say, it needed to be replaced. A new refrigerator was donated by Smitty’s New and Used Appliances. THANK YOU to Ken Fraser for making sure that the fridge was sent up properly (level etc.) so that it can be used for many years to come.

DID YOU KNOW THAT we have volunteers from this congregation, representing our church, who give their time on one Monday a month to help at the Coffee Bar at Hastings Manor?

VOLUNTEERS from the congregation also help with “Meals on Wheels” at least 2 times a year.

MISTLETOE MARKET AND THE ANNUAL YARD SALE are always a great success because of many helping hands from our congregation.
